Trip to Uganda’s Eastern frontier is covered by extensive plains dotted with extinct volcanoes and isolated mountain ranges. The highest and most extensive of these is the 4000sq km Mount Elgon.

Download ItineraryEarly morning departure (7:00 am) from Kampala headed east of the Country via Jinja Road to
Mbale district through verdant countryside, traversing traditional homesteads, farms, and
beautiful grasslands and forests.
Uganda’s Eastern frontier has broad coverage of plains dotted with extinct volcanoes and
isolated mountain ranges. The highest and most extensive of these is the 4000sq km Mount
Elgon. In addition, the Sipi River plunges quickly, forming three spectacular waterfalls. On our
tour of the Eastern frontier, we will look to explore extensively the breathtaking and scenic
beauty of the Eastern region that further contributes to Uganda’s beauty.
Upon an afternoon arrival in Mbale district, we will drive straight to the lodge for check-in and
freshen up.
