After an early breakfast, we kick-start this day’s wildlife safari journey with a beautiful road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. We drive through lush savannah grasslands with scattered homesteads, large banana plantations, and sights of herds of Long-horned Ankole cattle. This may be the highlight of your wildlife safari: meeting the gentle giants of Bwindi!
Depending on where the Gorillas may be located, expect to walk a relatively long distance in
steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before encountering any gorillas.
Hikers will love this gorilla trekking experience, but even for those that don’t hike, this activity
will be unforgettable and worthwhile when you eventually meet the gentle giants. Those who
choose not to participate in the gorilla tracking/trekking experience can go for a nature-guided
forest walk or explore the surroundings with the Buhoma Village Walk.
Upon completing the trekking experience and awarding certificates, we return to the lodge for
lunch/dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, we embark on our road trip headed north, passing the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This part is called Ishasha and is famous for the tree-climbing lions. After a short game drive in this area, we proceed to the lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight.
