3 Days Kidepo Valley wildlife tour
Kidepo Valley National park, located in the country’s North Eastern region, presents one of the country’s most pristine and serene natural environments. Its large herds of buffalos, elephants, and the not-so-much human presence make it a travel magnet for nature lovers. On this three-day trip, we not only offer you the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of one of Africa’s top-ranked parks but also an opportunity to interact with the IK people of Karamoja living around the park.
We will set off from Entebbe/Kampala with an early morning rise on a scenic and panoramic
drive northeast to Kidepo Valley National Park. Upon arrival in Kidepo, we will either check in
to our lodge or build our tents for the night. After which we will have dinner. Night activities
may include campfire and storytelling with soft music,
Drive time: ±7 hours
As the saying goes, “the early bird catches the worm” we will set off (immediately after breakfast) for an early morning game drive for wildlife viewing. On our game drive, we traverse beautiful scenery across the savannah in search of Africa’s big mammals. On the game drive, you will likely see; Elephants, Lions, Cape buffalo, Giraffe, Spotted Hyena, and, if lucky, the Leopard. Afterward, we will head back for lunch and await the next activity.
After lunch, we will go for a community tour to interact with the IK people of Karamoja. Look forward to dancing and indulging in the people’s cultural ways as you have a look into their way of life. Afterward, we will return to our accommodation for the evening and night activities.
