Overview

Seven days Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park: Uganda’s biggest tourist draw is, of course, the mountain Gorillas; however, these aren’t the country’s only great Apes. Humankind’s closest relative, the Chimpanzee, is found in many areas of Uganda. Some of these groups have been habituated to human contact, similarly to the gorillas. Although their more energetic lifestyle and unpredictable nature make them slightly less approachable, there’s no doubt that hanging out with chimps is one of life’s great experiences.

Our guide will warmly welcome you on arrival at the Airport or at your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala. We shall have a stopover in Fort portal town for lunch, and after continuing to our accommodation, check-in and have an afternoon of relaxing.

Chimpanzee Tracking is done on foot, and this walking safari will allow you to see a wide range of flora and fauna.

Kibale forest is home to the most significant number of endangered chimpanzees in Uganda, the threatened red colobus monkey, and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. The forest boasts over 13 species of primates, the highest diversity and density in Africa, over 325 species of birds, and a variety of mammals, insects, and reptiles.

In the afternoon, enjoy a nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland, where a variety of birds and monkey species exist. After which we return to our accommodation for dinner and overnight.
